The Problem
Fundacja SODA, a non-profit promoting physical activity among children, youth, and adults, had a big offering and a small digital presence. Parents couldn't find the right classes, the sign-up process was unclear, and the foundation's professionalism wasn't visible online.
- 9 different sports disciplines — swimming, aqua baby, basketball, dance, nordic walking, triathlon, kayaking, preschool activities, and an aqua obstacle course — all competing for attention on one site
- Parents struggling to find the right classes — no clear structure to match children's age and interests to available activities
- Complicated sign-up process — no intuitive system for registration or contacting instructors
- 25+ instructors invisible — a large, qualified team that parents couldn't see or evaluate
- Trust deficit — as a young organisation (founded 2022), the foundation needed to build credibility with parents who are cautious about who they entrust their children to
- Wide age range — from infants (aqua baby) through children and adults to seniors — each group needs its own clear entry point
The Solution
A WordPress website (Kadence WP) designed around one principle: a parent should find the right class for their child in under two minutes.
Discipline-based navigation — intuitive structure letting parents find specific sports quickly, with filtering by age group and activity type. No digging through menus.
Clear contact and sign-up forms — simplified registration with direct contact details for instructors. Parents know exactly who to reach and how.
Team section — professional presentation of 25+ instructors and trainers. Faces, qualifications, specialisations. Trust starts with knowing who's teaching your child.
"SODA in Numbers" section — transparent display of the foundation's scale: 500 participants, 40+ groups. Numbers replace doubt with confidence.
Events and camps system — dedicated sections for upcoming events and holiday camps, keeping the offering current and actionable.
Participant testimonials — social proof section with recommendations from families already involved.
Responsive design — works across all devices, because parents are browsing on their phones between school runs.
Process & Validation
- Needs analysis — mapped the foundation's full offering and parent decision-making process
- Information architecture — structured 9 disciplines and multiple age groups into a navigable hierarchy
- UI/UX design — Figma wireframes and prototypes aligned with how parents actually search for activities
- WordPress implementation — full custom build on Kadence WP, customised to the foundation's operational needs
Results
- More inquiries about classes — parents can now find and contact the right activity directly
- Improved parent communication — the offer is clearly presented and the sign-up process is straightforward
- Increased interest — the breadth of the sports offering is now visible and accessible, not hidden
- Professional brand image — the website reflects the foundation's values: professionalism, passion, and commitment to children's development
- Better reach to target groups — clear categorisation by age and interest means parents find what they need without frustration
