The Problem
A construction company was running field teams on paper attendance lists and Excel spreadsheets. The result: errors, delays, and no real visibility into project profitability. None of the existing tools fit — they were either too complex or built for office workers, not people on site with gloves on and a phone in hand.
- No modern tool for monitoring and reporting field work — everything was manual, fragmented, and error-prone
- Scattered processes — paper attendance lists and Excel sheets caused mistakes and delayed billing cycles
- Profitability blind spots — no real-time view of project costs, time tracking, or margins
- Broken communication — headquarters had limited contact with mobile workers, creating delays and misalignment
- Multi-industry flexibility needed — the tool had to work not just for construction, but also technical services and transport
The Solution
I designed ReportNOW from the ground up — logo, full app UX/UI, and a conversion-focused landing page. Built for the field first, the office second.
Logo & visual identity — modern and direct, communicating efficiency and simplicity. Nothing decorative — the brand needed to feel like a tool that works, not a tool that needs explaining.
Mobile app UX/UI — designed around one principle: a field worker should be able to log their work in seconds. The interface is clear and straightforward enough for non-technical users operating in real conditions — dust, noise, limited time.
User flow, stripped to essentials:
- Log in
- Select project
- Report work and progress
- Auto-generated reports — no manual compilation
Manager dashboard — project status at a glance: profitability analysis, document control, and budget tracking. Designed for quick decisions, not deep dives.
Campaign landing page — built on WordPress with Kadence WP, designed to convert:
- App functionality presented clearly upfront
- Educational sections showing business benefits
- CTAs driving to demo tests and contact form
Mobile-first across the board — both the app and landing page are optimised for mobile, because that's where field teams actually work.
Process & Validation
- Figma — low-fi wireframes, interactive prototypes, full design system
- Adobe Illustrator — branding and logo design
- WordPress + Kadence WP — landing page build and deployment for the campaign
- Discovery workshops — understanding the reality of field workers' daily routines and constraints
- Prototype testing — interface validated with first users — foremen and field workers — ensuring the flow works under real conditions

- ReportNOW launched as a real product — initially deployed in a construction company, then expanded as a SaaS offering
